We are thrilled that you have found your way here! Operated by the 9th Street Quartet and co-owned by LIz O'Hara and Matt Richardson, 9SCM is a new Model for the professional string quartet with youth and outreach endeavors as part of its core mission.
9SCM is dedicated to creating new performance and education traditions that engage the audiences and culture of our current time. Witness inventive, inclusive programming with insightful commentary at 9th Street Quartet concerts. See the impressive evolution of young musicians as they learn what it means to come together as an ensemble in our String Quartet Intensive program. Find us out in the community sharing the chamber music experience with people of all ages and backgrounds.

& Education Combined
The collaborative environment of chamber music fosters incredible growth, musically and personally. In addition to producing live chamber music events through our 9th Street Quartet concert series, 9SCM is proudly invested in engaging committed young musicians through our String Quartet Intensive program. We cultivate a collegial environment between our coaches and musicians that encourages personal responsibility and a sense of independence that separates the experience from that of a more traditional youth music enrichment program. String Quartet Intensive members also engage with the community in various outreach performances throughout their season.
